We went on Friday and had the 3D/4D ultrasound done to get a sneak peak at Baby Cayden. It was a good thing we wanted to know if the baby was a boy or a girl, because the very first thing that we saw was the top picture. Right off the bat we knew that my doctor was correct when she said that we were having a boy! Cayden did not want to cooperate during the ultrasound, we had to wake him up by having me roll over to my side, then to my back. He wasn't very happy as you can see in the pictures, he had a bit of a scowl on his face- not too happy about Mommy waking him up from one of the few naps that he takes during the day. He really only wanted to show us his profile- I guess he wanted us to be a little suprised when he comes out of my belly! Taryn and Maddi went with us and they thought it was really cool to see him. Of course Taryn keeps telling him that now that Mommy has the room finished he can go ahead and come out.

Baby Cayden's Room
After about a month (maybe a little less) of construction to build the new wall and SEVERAL coats of paint- Cayden's room is finished. The only thing that I really have left to do to put the finishing touches in the room, is to find things to hang on the wall. The majority of the room is finished and we can't be any more relieved. It took many long nights and many hours of painting! We went with an airplane/ helicopter theme, because Joey is in love with airplanes and flying. You can't really see the airplanes, but they are on the chair and on the top of the tall dresser. Granny stenciled the little white clouds above the chair rail, it was a good thing- I was flat out of patience! We haven't put the bedding in yet, but I will post new pics as we finish everything up. All I have to say is the doctor better be right about this baby being a boy! If we end up having a girl, she will be living in a very boyish room and she will be dressed in fabulous boy clothes!

Baby Shower for Cayden
The wonderful ladies at school threw me a baby shower for Cayden last week. Taryn thought it was Cayden's birthday party, but I told her it was more like his pre-birthday party. They had a blast opening the presents (faster than I could keep up!) They got us so many wonderful outfits, bibs, and toys for him- I can't tell them how much I appreciated it! This is one of the few pictures that I will allow, I am looking like a bit of a Teletubby!
Pool time fun
The Converse City Pool opened on Memorial Day weekend, so we went and took a dip in the nice cool pool. It took a little bit for Taryn to get comfortable with being in the water again, but she soon started showing off her "Ariel" swimming skills. Maddi had a blast as long as she stayed in her little float. We will keep working on Maddi over the summer. I have a feeling that we will be at the pool frequently!
